HAY!
Yes hay, all the time! Free feed your chins hay, it's good for them, it gives
them something to do with their "spare time" you know when they aren't running
on that squeaky wheel while you're trying to watch a movie or sleep. Look
into getting hay boxes or hay racks to keep the hay off the bottom of the cage.
Watch out for wire racks or holders than a chin could get a leg stuck in and
become injured! All wood boxes can be found through smaller suppliers and are general safe and can double as a chew toy for those chins who love to chew. Remember when trying new hays to wait a while between new kinds to allow the chin time to try the different kinds. This also helps let you know how your chin will react to the different kinds. If you constantly are introducing new things to your chin's diet it can be hard to tell if they get ill, what caused it.

This is a bad type of hay holder as chins can get their legs caught in it causing injury. |
